Dana Abbott Celich Writes
A Little Bit About Me
Born in West Palm Beach, Florida — but with deep family roots in both New and Old England — I grew up with a natural love of American and British history and the English language. If you’d come to visit me back then, you’d likely have discovered me dressed in a princess costume, lost in a book. Add to that a commitment to follow Jesus Christ made when I was twelve years old, and you have the beginnings of an inspirational historical fiction author.

Not surprisingly, I studied history, theology, drama, communications, and the Bible (among other disciplines) during my graduate and post-graduate career at Duke University, Yale Divinity School, and Regent University. And I traveled as much as possible — especially to England. All these learning experiences have influenced my writing one way or another, and I’m so grateful for them!

I live these days with my husband and daughter in Western Pennsylvania. I keep myself busy working as a graphic designer, coordinating discipleship for my church women's group, and singing on the worship team — when I'm not writing, of course.

Often life has been sweet, and sadly sometimes bitter, but always full of purpose as “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus!” (Phil. 3:14)

“For you will go out with joy
And be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”
Isaiah 55:12
